Dedicated Multi-Tenant
Data Isolation

Your data is visible only to users created within your subscription.

Isolation Approach Your subscription includes an entire OSDU Data Platform instance dedicated for use solely by you and the users that you add. Your subscription includes a data partition dedicated for use solely by you and the users that you add, within an OSDU Data Platform instance that is shared with other subscribers.
AWS Deployment Account Your dedicated OSDU Data Platform instance is deployed to a distinct AWS deployment account dedicated to your subscription. Your dedicated data partition resides within a shared OSDU Data Platform instance, in an AWS deployment account that serves many multi-tenant subscribers.
Deployment Account Creation and Management Your deployment account is created and managed by 47Lining, and is used exclusively to host your dedicated OSDU Data Platform deployment. An AWS deployment account created and managed by 47Lining is used exclusively to host a shared OSDU Data Platform instance that serves many multi-tenant subscribers.
Deployment Account Access You can obtain supported access to your dedicated deployment account by raising a support request Deployment account serves many multi-tenant subscribers, so subscriber access to deployment account is not available.
Management Console

Your subscription includes access to the 47Lining Enterprise PaaS Management Console, a web application that users associated with your subscription can use to streamline their interactions with the data platform.

Cost Management You can disable your dedicated OSDU Data Platform service endpoints when not in use to reduce costs. You pay a lower cost because OSDU Data Platform service endpoints serve many multi-tenant subscribers.
User Management

You can easily add users to your subscription by using the management console included with your subscription.

Data Partition Management Your subscription includes an initial data partition. You can create additional data partitions and align them to users as you see fit. Your subscription includes a single data partition. You cannot create additional data partitions.
Authentication

Users authenticate with the identity provider included in your subscription.

Authenticated user email provides user identity in data platform.

Authorization

Users can access data in any data partitions for which you have configured them to be authorized.

You can use the Entitlements API to create users and groups associated with any of your data partitions. A group name defines a common set of permissions and users who are added to that group obtain that set of permissions.

About Data Partitions in the OSDU Data Platform

The OSDU data platform supports the concept of data partitions and the availability of multiple partitions for a single deployment. A data partition provides the highest level of data isolation within a single OSDU deployment. All access rights are governed at a partition level and data is separated in a way that allows for the partitions life cycle and deployment to be handled independently from one another. Your partition will remain invisible to other parties on the OSDU Data Platform and will only be accessible by users you enable.
